Trauma Informed Practice: Being the Impact

This session will BLOW YOUR MIND. It will help you discover the importance of shifting your paradigm to a Trauma Informed Practice lens and how to incorporate a new ‘trauma informed lens’ in your interactions with clients, co-workers, and our community. We will learn about trauma, brain science; ways in which we can utilize this approach in the private sector and in professional settings and how this ‘movement’ is reshaping work in our communities. Be in the know of trauma and get to the root of words like ‘empathy’, ‘compassion’, and ‘understanding’. But make no mistake, if implemented in your personal and professional life, within institutions and organizations, and in partnership with the community; changes in how we connect with people, students, professionals, and those who may be most vulnerable in our community will enhance and grow our relationships and careers.
